What is Block You Test Me?

Block You Test Me is a friendship quiz with a twist. You answer 10 questions about yourself, send the link to your friends, and they try to guess your answers. Score high and they're safe. Score low and, at least in the game, they get blocked.

The idea took off on WhatsApp, Instagram and Threads, where people started posting "I'm blocking my fake friends, should I block you?" with a quiz link. This site lets you make your own version in about a minute. No account, no app, and nothing connected to your social media.

How to play

1. Make your quiz. Type your name and answer 10 questions about yourself β€” your go-to snack, what time you really go to sleep, what you'd do with a surprise $100. Don't like a question? Tap "Swap question" and get a different one.

2. Share your link. You get a link you can drop into a group chat, a story, or a DM. Your friends don't need to sign up either; they just open it and start.

3. Check the scoreboard. Every friend who plays shows up on your private scoreboard with their score out of 10. You can see exactly which questions they got wrong, and remove anyone who's just there to troll.

How the score works

Each correct answer is one point, so the top score is 10/10. When a friend finishes, they get a reply from you based on their score:

ScoreWhat they hear
0–3Blocked. They clearly don't know you.
4–6Not blocked, but they're on thin ice.
7–10Safe forever. They actually pay attention.

Nobody is really blocked, of course. It's a game, and the low scores are usually the funniest part.

Why people love the fake friend test

Most friendship quizzes ask general trivia. This one is about you, which makes it personal in a good way. Your best friend might miss your favourite drink. Your cousin might know your sleep schedule better than anyone. A classmate you barely talk to might get 9/10 and surprise everyone.

It also works well in groups. Post it once and you'll usually see a wave of scores in the first hour, followed by screenshots of the results in your chats.

Tips for a better quiz

  • Answer honestly. The game only works if your answers are really yours.
  • Mix easy and hard. A few obvious questions keep it fun; a couple of tricky ones separate your real friends from everyone else.
  • Swap boring questions. If a question doesn't say anything about you, swap it.
  • Save your private link. Your scoreboard link is the only way to manage your quiz. We can't recover it for you.

Is it safe?

We keep things simple. We store your first name (or nickname), the answers you picked, and the names and scores of friends who play. We don't ask for an email, a phone number, or access to your social accounts. You can delete any player's score, or your whole quiz, at any time from your private scoreboard link. Quizzes that nobody plays for 90 days are deleted automatically.

Make it your own

You don't have to stick with the questions you're given. Tap Swap question on anything that doesn't sound like you and you'll get a new one from the bank. Want something more specific? Try the Best Friend Test, the Couple Test or the Crush Test β€” same game, different questions. You can browse every question first on the question ideas page.

Frequently asked questions

Is Block You Test Me free?

Yes. Making a quiz, sharing it and checking scores are all free.

Do I need an account?

No. You get a private scoreboard link instead. Keep it somewhere safe β€” anyone with it can see your scores and delete your quiz.

Does it actually block anyone?

No. The site never touches your Instagram, WhatsApp or any other account. "Blocked" is just the result message.

Can my friends see each other's scores?

After finishing, players see the top 10 names and scores. Only you can see every player and their individual answers.

I lost my scoreboard link. What now?

If you made the quiz on the same phone and browser, open the quiz page and your scoreboard should still be linked. Otherwise, the easiest fix is to make a new quiz.

Someone used a rude name. Can I remove it?

Yes. Open your scoreboard and tap "Remove" next to that player.

Is this the same as the YouTest "Don't Block Me" quiz?

No. Block You Test Me is an independent site with its own questions. The game idea is similar, and you can play either one.
